Lindsay is a self-employed artisan living in the small coastal village of Kakanui.  His craft is predominantly in wood and metal with an emphasis on hand tools and traditional methods. Often at odds with our unsustainable systems, he explores and draws on older cultures and traditions combined with his Celtic roots to shape the world he works in a world that is still shaped by natural elements.

If you're lucky Lindsay's son,  William who forges quality kitchen knives using recycled materials will be around. It is intriguing to watch him heat the metal and then 'bash' it into shape while it is still red hot.

Beth is an emerging artist who knows that experimentation and playing loud music is when she makes her best work.   Her work is nothing but original.  A combination of abstract, mixed media and printmaking.

You can decide if you like it or not.

You can also do some workshops with Beth at her art shop - Creative Us in Oamaru.  She makes it fun.

Andrew is a pottery, actor & and former joiner.  Quite a mix.  He is well-known for creating a calm space with a personal touch.

Silenzio Pottery loves being accessible to people, connecting with them and sharing ideas and stories. As well as creating beautiful, handcrafted ceramic products you can also take pottery lessons - for individuals and groups.

All of our products are handmade from New Zealand Stoneware clay and we only use Silenzio glazes. As these are handmade, some minor size and colour variances may occur.
